WCNY, the JCC of Syracuse, the Jewish Federation of CNY and Menorah Park to commemorate 75th anniversary of the Auschwitz Liberation March 29

WCNY, Central New York’s community-owned flagship public broadcaster, in partnership with the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse, the Jewish Federation of Central New York, and Menorah Park, invites the community to a free screening event in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Auschwitz Liberation. WCNY will screen, “Secrets of the Dead—Bombing Auschwitz” and “FRONTLINE’S” film, “Documenting Hate–New American Nazis.”

The event takes place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at WCNY’s Robert J. Daino Broadcast and Education Center at 415 W. Fayette St. in Syracuse.

“Secrets of the Dead—Bombing Auschwitz” presents a multi-faceted debate on the question of whether the Allied forces should have bombed Auschwitz in order to prevent future atrocities of this magnitude.

“FRONTLINE: Documenting Hate—New American Nazis” documents the resurgence of white supremacist groups who are actively recruiting in the U.S. military and investigates these terrorist groups in connection to events like the 2017 Charlottesville rally.
